Since Art Basel launched its Miami Beach outpost in 2002, the annual art fair has become a huge international event, drawing crowds from the fashion, architecture, and design worlds for a dizzying amalgam of champagne-fueled parties and exhibitions—almost like fashion week, but with art instead of clothes. But there’s lots to do outside of the show, whether you’re looking to eat, drink, shop, or just relax. See our picks here, with special thanks to our Miami gurus at The Lone Palm.
