The only Chinese pianist ever to receive the highest honour in France for his musical talent, Wu Muye has successfully delivered countless bursts of inspiration through his performances with many years of immersive training and experience under his Mentor, French pianist Jacques Rouvier. With his poetic playing, Wu Muye presented an establishment of diplomatic relations between China and France at the Opening Ceremony of the 2016 Group of Twenty Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors. Undeniably, his gentlemanly demeanour and talent demonstrate the nobility; and profundity of a pianist, which is in line with the philosophy of elegance and aesthetic craftsmanship conveyed by Chopard‘s L.U.C. collection.

As he continues to impress in music, Muye has aroused the elegance of a modern gentleman matching that of the mechanical complexity in each timepiece from the L.U.C Collection. The first L.U.C piece, Louis-Ulysse Chopard was named after the Maison’s father – designed and developed by Karl-Friedrich Scheufele, Co-President of Chopard at the Chopard Manufacture in Fleurier. It has since started a remarkable history for the L.U.C collection.

Each piece in the series was made by master craftsmen in the Geneva and Fleurier workshops, adhering to Chopard’s traceability to the origin and the unremitting pursuit of the spirit of innovation. The specially crafted collection features exceptional timepieces demonstrating the high standards of Swiss watchmaking expertise.

Wu Muye interprets the L.U.C Full Strike Tourbillon with a deep and elegant charm in a romantic overture. This 20-piece limited edition Minute Repeater is made of rose-coloured 18-carat gold in line with Chopard’s philosophy of sustainability and social responsibility, with a sapphire crystal gong integrated into the crystal and tuned by the acoustic wizards Renaud and Gautier Capuçon. When sounded, the L.U.C Full Strike Tourbillon is as clear as crystal, loud and harmonious, bearing a resemblance to fine instruments. Meanwhile, the watch conveys a wealth of emotions between sounds while embodying the Maison‘s passion for watchmaking and its relentless commitment to aesthetics.
