Coach And Observed By Us Collaborates On A Quirky Collection

These are the staples you need to add to your closet

Taking the world by storm, Coach has joined forces with Observed By Us for a whimsical, fun, and bright collection. This new capsule collection is a collaboration with Los Angeles-based illustrator and designer Jessica Herschko and actor Kirsten Dunst. To create the collection, Coach Creative Director Stuart Vevers and the duo took inspiration from pieces found in Dunst’s closet, blending the playfulness and nostalgia that defines her style with the house’s heritage of craftsmanship and spirit of self-expression.

“We started Observed By Us to create clothing and other items with images that evoke a special, happy feeling and a sense of appreciation for both the natural and the man made,” said Herschko. “It was very fun to collaborate with Coach because, much like us, they see a world of possibility in the small details and have the ability to execute that perfectly.”

Maybe you’re rethinking how to approach style, cleaning out your closet of unworn items of the past or looking to update and elevate your collection of wardrobe essentials altogether. Then, don’t fret, because Coach and Observed By Us newest collection are all you need for that upgrade.

Here’s everything you need to know about Coach’s new collaboration with Observed By Us:

On the roster, you’ll find ready-to-wear, bags, footwear, and accessories – each printed and embellished with original, hand-drawn illustrations by Herschko. In addition to the symbolic motifs, joyous shades of blue, orange, and white decorate key pieces in the collection. From a wool pointelle crop top to overalls, and straw hats, the whole collection expresses an off-beat, youthful naiveté.

“Creating this collection with Kirsten and Jessica was delightful. We got to celebrate our shared love of imagination and playfulness. Kirsten, and her style, has often been an inspiration for me,” said Vevers.

She adds: “So, to design alongside her and Jessica, and to blend their vivid storytelling and colour with our own American heritage design language and craftsmanship was really inspiring.”

The beautiful pieces also feature unique story patches describing and illustrating stories written in Herschko’s handwriting. For example, one story touches on a character’s imaginative journey featuring a sailboat, strawberries and dinosaurs—a nod to Rexy, Coach’s house mascot—brought to life with embroidery on the Swinger bag in Signature.
