It’s about time we fire up a Revolution to quell all Resolutions.  Let 2018 be a pledge of commitments to challenge the norms, such as blatantly drinking alcohol, do not exercise, have a cheat day every day, procrastinate defiantly and be openly lazy.  If you wish to join the coup d'état, here are the win-win strategies:

Hold grudges

As the only person liberated is the one you have forgiven.  Let our new swansong be, “Grudge, for lack of a better word, is good”. Forget all the learned advices you were ever given. Letting that grudge go is hard work which involves tons of hard-earned money for therapy which don’t work in most cases. So my counsel to you is, “showcase that grudge high on the tallest mantle shelf as a shining trophy of your tenacity and parade it pompously as a badge of honour.  After all, that SOB has wronged you and the world should certainly know about it.  Do what Adele did; she harnessed and nurtured it into a most lucrative award winning song or J K Rowling who wrote, “Some wounds run too deep for the healing” and used those words to pen the massively money-spinning Harry Potter series in Order of the Phoenix.  Grudges are life experiences to compel you stronger so play the victor never the victim!
