This year’s biggest movie snubs were not in the Best Picture category, but in Documentary Feature. The most surprising omission of all is Won’t You Be My Neighbor?, the instantly-beloved Mr Rogers documentary that became the highest-grossing biographical doc of all time on top of its critical acclaim. Three Identical Strangers, which tells the story of three triplets who were adopted separately and grew up never knowing of each other’s existence, wasn’t the same level of box office smash, but has drawn glowing reviews and strong buzz ever since its Sundance debut.
