M+, Hong Kong

A play of reflection at the M+ Pavilion

As the centrepiece of the West Kowloon Cultural District, Hong Kong’s newest museum is dedicated to the celebration of visual arts, design, and architecture of the 20th and 21st centuries. Conceptualised by the visionaries at Herzog & de Meuron, whose stellar portfolio includes the defining Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg and Tate Modern in London, M+ is set to be a distinctively innovative space for Asian artists. Featuring cinemas, learning centres, médiathèque, as well as an LED façade that doubles as a screen to showcase moving images by artists, M+ is a cultural institution of our time, and a fresh addition to the glittering Hong Kong skyline of skyscrapers.
