COLLISION – A Fashion Mashup Exhibition

Call it a fashion-art installation that combines contemporary art and avant-garde design in an interweaving of diverse materials and patterns. The essence of clothing silhouettes are combined with challenging garment prints – Fashion designer Kit Woo and Artist Peisy Ting are joining hands on a collaborative project to bring visual arts to the catwalk.

An exhibition by both creatives mashing up the line of art and fashion took place at ZHAN Art | Space (an art space showcasing art exhibitions and contemporary fine art from Malaysia and abroad) with opportunities to witness the designs evolving experimental visuals. This exhilarating showcase features a capsule collection of 10 gender-neutral looks designed with artisan craftsmanship by Kit Woo and utilizing distinct prints-artwork crafted by Peisy Ting.

Kit Woo debuted this fashion mash-up aiming to energize the art circle while appreciating art and culture from a different perspective. Ahead of the curve, Kit Woo presents harmonious chaos of layered and overlapping elements in Peisy’s prints. Taking the first-leap forward in Spring/Summer 2022, he creates a refreshing capsule collection (also a prelude to his fashion show collection in Shanghai Fashion Week 2022) that combines the perfect fit with the comfortable chic casual wear in the way of deconstructing and reconstructing.
