If you’re looking for fantastic vintage finds, then make sure you visit the Second Life Markets Kuala Lumpur this weekend.
But it’s not just about vintage fashion. So what exactly is Second Life Markets Kuala Lumpur? What can we expect from the event? BAZAAR talks exclusively to Second Life Asia director, the always impeccably styled Nadia Razlan, for all the deets on this sustainable fashion haven.

The Second Life Markets community
How it all started
So how did all this come about?
Second Life was founded by my two good friends, Stella and Meg, in Perth back in 2019. It started as a casual garage sale with 15 friends, and quickly grew into something much bigger! Second Life has now become a platform that’s deeply rooted in not just circular fashion but strong on community, also acting as a creative hub.
I first got involved by selling pieces from my own wardrobe, just rotating what I had and slowly learning the value of shopping secondhand. Over time, Meg and Stella really shaped the way I approached fashion as a whole. They taught me that shopping vintage isn’t just sustainable, it’s personal! I love that every piece has a story, and that’s completely changed how I shopped and dressed.

Stella, Meg & Nadia of Second Life Markets
In 2022, when I moved to Sydney with Stella, we spontaneously thought of bringing Second Life interstate. Since then, I’ve taken on a bigger role, managing our flagship events in Sydney, flying back regularly for our seasonal events in Sydney and Canberra, and now leading the expansion into Asia as Director of Second Life Asia. I oversee seller curation, brand partnerships, and the full event experience.
I moved back to Malaysia in 2023 and have been based here since. I’ve been quietly observing the local scene … from fashion and resale culture to the music and creative communities. And it just felt like the right time to bring Second Life here. KL has always had incredible potential, and launching here feels really special. Not just because it’s home, but because I truly believe the market is ready for something like this.
We can’t wait to bring the energy over, build a community, and educate more consumers on the value of shopping secondhand.
What’s in store
So, what can we expect to do at Second Life Markets?
Nadia: You’ll be shopping from a curated lineup of 25 vintage sellers and collectors from across KL and Penang—expect everything spanning from the 1930s up to the 2000s to true vintage and archival designer pieces. With the help of FIFTH, a respected vintage store based in Taman Paramount, we’ve carefully curated the seller lineup to reflect KL’s diverse style scene.
We’ve also teamed up with andDen?, a vintage furniture store based in Subang Jaya known for their mid-century pieces, to curate multiple living spaces throughout the venue. Their pieces will also be available to shop—or to relax onto while you take a break.
We have handpicked a setlist of KL’s underground DJs to soundtrack the day. And from 6–10pm, Stovelab—a collective known for their immersive sonic experiences—will be taking over with an all women DJ lineup to close the night.
Monèt, KL’s favourite community café, will be serving coffee all day—and the food hall on-site at Heritage Valley means you can grab a bite whenever you need.
Shopping tips
For those on the hunt for great fashion finds, what would be your tips once they arrive at the Market?
Nadia: Come early if you’re serious in finding the best pieces! Trust us, they go fast! Bring a tote bag (or two), wear something easy (but cute) to change in and out of, and don’t be shy to chat with the sellers. Every piece has a story, and they might even throw in a styling tip or two.
That said, Second Life isn’t just about shopping and leaving. The whole idea is to hang out! Dig through racks, chill on vintage furniture, grab a coffee from Monet, and soak in the music. Take your time and stay a little while. That’s the whole point.
The Second Life Markets comes to Kuala Lumpur this Saturday, June 14th, from 10am until 10pm at Heritage Valley KL, 6, Jalan Medan Tuanku Utama, Kuala Lumpur, 50250 KL. General admission is priced at only RM20. Or better yet, pay RM25 for a VIP Early Preview ahead of the general public. Get your tickets and update about the event here.
