When it’s a mix of the literary and design, leave it to Taschen to impress. The book haven of the literati, Taschen, has opened its first store in Italy on Via Meravigli, Milan. In collaboration with star industrial designer Marc Newson, the legendary bookstore created large glass top cabinets to present the Collector’s Editions and Art Editions.

Other artistic collaborations that make up this new icon include the stunning terrazzo flooring. Crafted by American artist Jonas Wood, it beautifully delineates Californian flora and fauna in refreshing blues, greens, and yellows. There’s also a spiral staircase in a gradation of colours by Salvatore Licitra. And in celebration of Italian flair, the store will be decked with incredible design pieces from Benedikt Taschen’s personal collection.
